In the age of marriage equality, what does it mean to really commit to being married? This funny and deeply moving play looks at love and family relationships. When a medical crisis confronts the patriarch of the Baker family, a spotlight is focused on his and his wife’s 40-plus year marriage, as well as on their 25-year-old son and his husband’s marriage of not quite 1 year.
The premiere production at The Human Race Theatre in Dayton, Ohio in January/February of 2015 starred Corbin Bleu (High School Musical trilogy, Broadway’s In the Heights, and Godspell), Colleen Zenk (As the World Turns) and Randy Brooks. Directed by Kevin Moore, it also featured Adam Halpin, Arash Mokhtar and Annie Pesch.
